Expressive Arts Group
The Expressive Arts group provides a compassionate and caring space that allows individuals to process their feelings, thoughts and experiences through artistic and creative means.
In this group, individuals can leverage drawing, watercolors, collage-making, creative writing and other artistic methods for personal growth in a safe, collaborative environment.
Group members will be given a range of suggested expressive arts projects that that they can work on during the group art time, or they can work on their own individual pieces. The last 15-30 minutes of group will be held for discussion and group processing of the expressive pieces that were created.
You do not need to have a background in art or writing to join this group. All individuals are encouraged to attend. This group is not intended to treat mental health issues, though it will provide therapeutic benefits.
These group sessions are not covered by insurance. The first session is free to see if expressive arts is for you.
Art Supplies: Please note that the Lotus Center will provide a baseline of artistic materials that can be borrowed during the group art time, which are adequate to complete the suggested activities.
However, some people may find it helpful to have their own materials.
- Drawing (graphite) pencils and or pens
- Sketchbook or pad
- Pencil sharpener
- Journal (for writing)
This is a general expressive arts group. Please do not bring materials, such as for metal working, jewelry making, clay making, acrylic paints, etc.

Cost: $35/session or $150 for a 5-pack. 5-packs can be applied toward any Lotus Center group including Yoga Therapy, Keys to Intuition, etc. Click the Book Now button below to register.
