Nicole Schafer Bio
Nicole’s clinical interests include relationships, sexuality, attachment styles and holistic & alternative health. Her approach with clients emphasizes positive psychology and a bit of existentialism, but is ultimately person-centered, because there is no one-size fits all cookie cutter approach!
Nicole earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biology, but went on to the corporate world afterwards, becoming an Executive Assistant in the tech, advertising, architecture, and HNWI’s industries. Years later, Nicole was called back to her Psychology roots and returned to graduate school for a major career change to pursue counseling and therapy.
Nicole aims to provide a safe environment for open communication throughout therapy. She is an extremely open book, incredibly non-judgmental, and always has a great sense of humor to add to sessions. Whether you’re interested in addressing issues surrounding sexual orientation, gender identity, non-monogamy, or sexual expression, you are welcome with Nicole! She helps clients work on boundary issues, consent, codependency, feeling comfortable in their skin and exploring desires. She also works with relationship partners (couples, thruples, polycules, etc.) on communicating needs, building emotional intimacy, exploring sexuality, and generally improving relationship health. Nicole can help guide you and provide tools to navigate challenging situations.
Nicole continues to invest in ongoing professional development surrounding sex, intimacy and relationships and is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
