Ashley is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families manage the stressors associated with having children. She focuses on all phases of the process including infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy, pre/post-partum emotional struggles, partner relationship issues, and decisions regarding returning to work.
Her approach is holistic in nature, with emphasis on the relationship between physical, mental and emotional well-being. Ashley believes in incorporating individuals’ strengths as a basis for counseling and is eager to help those through one of life’s most significant (and beautiful) transitions!
Ashley is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Licensed School Counselor (PEL). She earned her B.A. from Wake Forest University and her M.A. from Roosevelt University. Ashley grew up in rural Pennsylvania, and has lived in Chicago for the past 11 years with her husband and 2 sons, ages 3 and 1. Before having children, Ashley worked as a high school counselor and also in a university graduate admission office. Prior to joining the team at Lotus, Ashley taught in DePaul’s Graduate Counseling program and supervised several colleagues pursuing their license as professional counselors.
Ashley views counseling as a safe space in which people can find a way to live a more fulfilling life. She prioritizes the importance of understanding where each individual is at, and tailors her approach to helping each person realize his/her own best self. Ashley is passionate about helping others and is excited to be a part of the changes you want to make in your life!
